Our Oil & Gas team is recognised as one of the leading providers of reputable services to the sector, with our experience and capability covering the entire oil and gas sector in the UK and overseas. We work for clients both upstream and downstream in the traditional areas of oil and gas, including exploration and production, enhanced oil recovery, oil services and regulated and unregulated utilities.

Our experience encompasses advising in relation to offshore drilling and process facilities (including platforms, FPSOs, Spars and subsea facilities), onshore refining and gas processing facilities (including GTL and LNG liquefaction and re-gasification), transnational oil and gas pipelines, pumping stations and receiving terminals, refining and petrochemical facilities, gas storage facilities and associated distribution networks.

We have extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, takeovers, public company listings and international joint ventures, we also regularly work on the acquisition of large scale assets associated with oil and gas exploration and production such as the purchase of MODU-Jack-Ups and self erecting Tender Rigs as well as land drilling rigs.

This experience is applied to the complex legal, commercial and technical challenges that arise in the key oil and gas producing regions where oil and gas infrastructure is required. Our network of offices enables us to utilise this experience to support our clients and to guide them through the potential pitfalls of undertaking projects in these many and varied jurisdictions including the North Sea, the Caspian, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Gulf. Our key expertise includes acting for major international contractors, owners, NOCs and oil companies.
